We have been thinking about the idea of simplifying the process of installing a hammock for a long time. Our team wanted to change the fastening mechanism itself. And finally, we invented a solution that seemed to us simple, easy and reliable at the same time!
We embodied this decision in the new Elfy hammock.
The decision is to use straps of 20mm width with a special G-hook. On a hammock we have only small cord loops which are fastened on this hook.
So, first you need to tie the straps around the tree. To do this, you need to pull the G-hook through the loop on the strap.
Then, you need to turn the G-hook and face it to the tree, and the bend of the hook should be at the top.
After that it is necessary to put a loop from hammock so that the loop lay down on a strap. Be careful, the loop shouldn’t be pushed into the through hole in the hook, it should be between the hook and the strap.
For greater reliability, you can push the straps into the hole in the hook.
